I knew that... but I just made a silly post to let you know that I care as much about UEFA as I care for astrophysics... :D

I watch soccer matches only every four years.

For me, its a tough decision. Arsenal, being my favorite team whom i have followed since i was born, is mainly French right now. Theirry Henry -what can i say? But then i have to look at my roots - England. Its like the Arsenal Attack vs. the Arsenal Defense in a way. I am gonna have to root for both France and England, despite the fact that they are playing eachother in the first round. lol.

Personally I am a fan for German football but I´m afraid their team is not good enough this year but so I said as well 2 years ago and Germany went to the finals.

Anyway, I go for Italy ( my vote for winners ) and close behind France and Holland teams. The Portugal and Spanish teams being the ones to watch carefully as they have excellent teams as well.

It will be interesting to watch next Sunday France vs England as there´s quite alot at stake!

RB, don't you live in Ireland?

And to support England while living in Ireland, isn't that something like...illogical? Dangerous, even, perhaps?

And wasn't it the Irish who just beat Holland 0-1?

Yes, they were. :( [IMG]

Oh, mannerheim, Germany's first game against Holland will be interesting. Both teams have performed...well, let's say dissapointingly, the last few friendlies (and I put it mildly).

I think the Czechs will have our skins and the Germans, so this first game will be crucial as to who will advance to the next round. [IMG]

I dont think you guys are giving the Krauts credit,

Cant underestimate a line up with 3 Werder Bremen players ;)

    Klose, Ernst, Baumann.

Of course, i also have to support Croatia because Klasnic is playing for them, same with Greece and Charisteas.

Its tough to say who will score the most. I think Henry is at the top of my list - with his form over the last few games of the regular season being very impressive (a hatrick on one friday, then 4 goals the next friday). His pace really cant be matched, and with some Arsenal players on his team, the magic is already there.

At long last, me and Freddie agree on something!
I'd make ALL sport a hanging offence......... [IMG]
Before the flak starts flying, I'd be willing to commute that to life.
    ;) :D [IMG]

    Gordon

I go with Gordon on this one... But I think hanging is to good for footballers... Perhaps the game would be more enjoyable with the addition of landmines or a HMG for the goalkeeper???

    Just a thought... ;)
