Hi WW2 Forum! I'm Charlie, 40-something, in VA, USA. I'm interested in a lot of areas relative to WW2, although (like a lot of people, I think) I try to steer clear of politics, subjective name-calling and conspiracy theories. I'm that guy who watches shows on The History Channel and yells at the TV when they illustrate some narrative with entirely inappropriate stock footage... "THE GERMANS DIDN'T HAVE TIGER TANKS WHEN THEY INVADED FRANCE!!!" :headbash: (Sorry, I try not to shout...) I've been happy to lurk and read other people's views and thoughts on various subjects, but I've taken on a (probably impossible) research project, and once I figure out exactly where to post it, I'll float the cry for help...
Glad to have you aboard, Charlie. I'm sure you've seen the vast array of information available hereabouts. Our Rogues are also helpful in steering you in the right direction. If you have material you want to investigate for your project, I might suggest posting in the Information forum where it will get plenty of traffic. Good luck and hope to hear more from you.
I totally hear you... how many of us have yelled at the tv over this kind of stuff. They must think that nobody watches history channel programs... so they will illistrate with any footage ..
