VD 8 Ball to the 727th

War is hell! There's no doubt about it, at least in the minds of the fighting 727th squadron. But here's a tip in event you visit their mess hall. There you will see a large, black sphere--a ball with the number "8" staring at you. Forget it. Don't under any circumstances ask about it. Believe, dont question this advice, but dont be in inquisitive.

(off the record stuff for visitors: Old VD hung up a record in this group. Naturally, we arent proud of this record and naturally steps were taken to curb the disagreeable increase in this very distasteful situation.

Starting Jan 27th the V.D. 8 Ball program was inagurated. Effective that date the squadron with the highest V.D. rate for the week preceding was presented with the 8-Ball. The program further provided that said ball would be hung in suitable spot for all to see.

The Squadron so honored will then intensify V.D. control.

So don't questions. We all know, now, what the 8-Ball means
