I did a quick search and couldn't find a reference to this website, but it has quite a bit of interesting data on US submarine activities in the Pacific. I apologize ahead of time if this has already been mentioned, but it was new to me.

Thanks Lou, directly into my faves box for future reading. If that had been posted before, I missed it too. Interesting site from the little I've checked out. Thanks again, out of salutes for a while, but much appreciated none the less.

The more I learn, the more I realize I don't know that much. Thanks for the link Lou.

Truer words were never spoken, Mike. I have been exposed to so much that is new to me that it makes my head swim.

There is that salute I didn't have earlier Lou. When I went to graduate school "in the day", one of my classmates had a great little saying; "I like the specialization by subject, that means I'm learning more and more, about less and less."

On this board I find myself learning more and more about this particular portion of time, and still find it absolutely fascinating since it involved so much of the world and so many of the population of the globe in "a common cause". There are so many facets and such that the "new" information just keeps piling up.

I like that statement. But I usually have a longer one. "I'm learning more and more about less and less. Soon, I'll know everything about nothing."

In any case, thanks for the salute. You're right, there is so much to know about this time period and I find it endlessly fascinating.
