What does VMF stand for?

    I have no idea what that V stands for but MF stand for Marine Fighter

    V stands for heavier-than-air, if that makes any sense. Z stands for lighter-than-air ( dirigibles and balloons etc. ) and H, logically enough, stands for helicopter.
