If Centcom is the supreme command of the US armed forces... then I'll have to say that its nazi equivalent would be the OKW - Oberkommando der Wehrmacht, High Command of the Armed Forces - which unified and centralised the command pf the armed forces' headquarters: OKH - Oberkommando des Heeres, High Command of the Army -; OKL - Oberkommando der Luftwaffe, High Command of the Air Force and OKM - Oberkommando der Marine, High Command of the Navy.

Hope I've just not shown my stupidity... [IMG]

That's what happened in reality. On paper, such a centralised command organisation is a very good idea. In WWI there was little cooperation between the German Navy, Army and what was the old Air Force due to the lack of an above-all commander and organism.

The Americans, French and British as well as the Italians and Soviets all had organisations like this; STAVKA, Comando Supremo, Imperial General Staff, the USA General Staff, etc.

But Hitler's intention wasn't to coordinate and make cooperation easier, but acquire more power himself and even encouraging fighting between the organisations. And by appointing servile officers in not-defined positions - like Keitel and Jodl - just didn't help matters...
