I quite like black metal, ok the guys who produce are often gone in the head such as john from Dissection and varg Vikknes(sp?) but some of it is good and musicaly very technical.

worst band for me would have to be My Chemical Romance but I have seen some pretty awful underground bands during my time working with bands in Bristol.

i'm with dave here, Vikernes is a musical genius, though his political views are... more radical (unless he's changed them. again)

my list of the worst bands ever is way to long to recite here, but Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit and Trivium are rather high up on it

"Good" and "bad" is entirely subjective. While I actually enjoy some music that can be characterized as "black metal", I have a special loathing for many of your favorite bands. That doesn't mean either of us is right or wrong, it means we have a different opinion.

Although I think it can be mathematically, empirically, scientifically established that Queen sucks. Put it through any test... Bunsen burner, add acid, dilute it in ethanol, it all turns out as pure shit. :D

Didnt stop them from being the best live band, selling 200 million records, influencing dozens of popular musicians.U sound just like rolling stone magazine.

Queen is also the most consistently popular bands in Uk history, not to mention 2 of their albums are in the top 10 best seeling albums list in the Uk. Beats any black metal, or what other crap you listen to that most people hate

Yeah, but Hitler gave good live performances too... Doesn't mean they're any good. (Quality is subjective)

Record sales don't equate to quality - didn't I just say that was subjective? I did!

People buy Queen albums and put them on in an act of supressed audiosadomachism. Kind of like slicing your wrists, except that it's worse.

If "your music" beats "my music", then, well, that really offended me. Again, "what most people hate" is irrelevant.

I remember you making posts against Political Correctness, supporting actions that "most people hated" (such as calling mentally handicapped people retards). Bit hypocritical there?

    :p

Hitler gave good speeches, and they were great performances, just not the content ;)

Come on, when you sell that mnay albums and influnce that many people, then you must be good.

Whats this about politcal correctivness ?

Over 5 billion mosquitoes can't be wrong; donate blood.
Before Galileo more then 70% of the human population worldwide believe the earth was flat and the center of the universe, if so many claim it, how can they be wrong?
There are at least 20 million people who don't know you nor me nor anyone on this forum, I think I just stopped existing.
There are not enough people who understand everything currently "known" about antimatter to fill a decent hotel, they must a crazy group making stuff up.
But what do I know?, I'm just a measly individual.

There is a big difference between fact and opinion.

You cannot state that Queen are 'proven' to be a bad band, as music is a matter of opinion. If anything, you culd look at the popularity of Queen and 'prove' that they are a great band (but then you'd have to admit that Steps were a great band too... :D )

Without doubt, the worst band ever were called Anderson Council.

    How do I know?

I was a part of it!

Me & two mates decided one day, to form a Pink Floyd tribute band. Hence the name. This was in about 1980, when we were 17. This despite the fact that none of us could sing (although this does not appear to be as big a handicap now, as it was then)! ;) :) Or play any instruments.
    I recall designing a badge/logo.

But we NEVER got any further, found a fourth member, took singing lessons, bought any instruments, learnt to play, held auditions, had rehearsals, booked a gig, did the pub circuit, played any covers, had a big break, got signed up, cut a deal, released a single, or an L.P, filled any stadiums (People stayed away in their thousands), had a U.S tour, achieved cult status, appeared on the cover of 'Time' magazine, had a tribute band of our own, had hordes of horny groupies, smashed up a hotel room, got arrested at an airport, or had our own chat show, etc etc ;) :D

However, none of us died a drug induced premature death either!

I'd hate to break it to you Sib., but "The final countdown" was made by a band called "Europe".

"It is" exactly what it says it is. While in previous posts you have stated that what the opinion of the majority is not necessarily the "correct" one (assuming there is such a thing as correct opinions, which there is not). Here, however, you state that the opinion of the majority is necessarily the correct one through use of pseudologic.

uh, not really. Unless the human race has bad taste in music almost alltogether, then what other reason would they sell that mnay albums ? Im taking into account album sales internationally. Did I even mention a majority ?
