FYI,the kettenkraftrad, kubelwagen and schwimmwagen are all fully operational. They run as good as they look.Incredibly,as small as it is,the kettenkraftrad weighs 1.7 tons.

Also,I would appreciate it if someone could identify the Japanese tanks.
I can't remember which ones they are for sure.

    Hi.

The first japanese tank is in fact a type 97 Te-Ke tankette.

I remember it was called a Type 97,but forgot the name.I believe the other is a Type 95 variant.

    Very nice pics.

    It's a Marder II, though.

I have about 1,000 or so photographs from the armour museums in Axvall and Munster which I hope to post on Panzerworld soon. Amongst others, I have a ton of interior photographs of Pz.Kpfw.I, including the engine compartment.

It does take a while to go through everything, though, as I need to properly size, watermark and identify all the photographs (one to two minutes per photograph, so you can see that it'll take some time ;))

By the way, I have some some interior photographs of the Tiger II on Panzerworld.

Thanks Christian. It is nice to see the inside of the Tiger, but I sure wish they wouldn't have carved it up like that.Several vehicles at Aberdeen had sections of armor removed, then were left exposed to the elements. You have a great view of severely deteriorated interiors.

APG is a joke. You do know that they had a Karl Gerät, but they scrapped it, right?

I can't agree with you on Aberdeen being a joke. They do what they can.The vehicles that aren't restored have a type of white wash to guard against the elements.Plans are on the drawing board to move the vehicles inside.Since I was there two years ago,I believe they have restored a Panzer II (which wasn't on display at the time) and a Skoda.I also believe they were in the process of restoring a Hetzer.Sorry about that Christian.I don't know what else to call it.

I agree that it isn't the museums fault, but rather the defence department. The plans to build a shelter have been long underway, though.

I think I need to get back there too. They didn't have that LVT(A)1 when I was there. Or the M-10 tank-destroyer.
If you'll stop by the house... I'll give you a ride down-there!

I'm only 1.5-2hrs away from Ft Knox.
