Hello, I am new to this group, but have been collecting WWII material for many years. I like manuals associated with the Military Railway Service, Coast Artillery, Medical and Aviation. I ran across the other day while internet searching (and forgot to bookmark) a reference to a price guide for WWII military manuals. Does anyone know who might have published this book? How many military manual price guides have been written? I tried to look up on amazon, but no luck. I already own a copy of the field manual listing published by Wolf's Head Books of Florida. Has anyone ever attempted to create a master list of all WWII field and technical manuals? Thanks, Larry Neal Wanted - Military Railway Service and US Army Hospital Car manuals
Hello, I found the book in question "Price Guide to World War I and World War II Books and Manuals" by Mark A. George. There is also a copy of the 1997 edition on ebay. According to the website, the book has been expanded and reprinted. I tried to email him, but the address did not work. Is this book still in production, or is this an older site? If someone has this book, how extensively does it cover WWII FM and TM manuals? Thanks,
Hi, know it's been a long time. But I'm looking for information on Military Railway Service in WWII, specifically 752nd RY OPN BN. Any leads you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Dave Williams
I am also interested in this unit. I am a member of American Legion Montgomery Post 912, in Rouses Point, NY. We were given a Nazi insignia that had been presented to a supervisor in the D & H railroad in Rouses Point. The insignia included the information that the insignia had been taken from a captured train, specifically coach # 8-5083 at Karlsruhe by Car Platoon Co. B, of the 752d Ry. Opn. Bn. We are trying to learn the details of possible as the donor of the insignia and the original recipient of the presentation are both deceased. Thank you. Dennis Harrison

Here's a link to a book on the Military Railway Service. It might provide some of the information you are seeking. Amazon.com: United States Military Railway Service: America's Soldier-Railroaders in WWII (9781550460216): Don DeNevi, Bob Hall: Books
Military Rails Online recently created a page for the 752nd ROB. I submitted a fair amount of photos and papers to the webmaster, Nancy. Here is the link: Military Rails Online I just registered tonight and this is my first post, so if I am walking on turf familiar to you already and a bit lengthy, my apologies. Mr. Harrison's post caught my attention. My father and I spent most of our lives in Rouses Point. We both share the same name - Charles H Barney. My father passed away in 1963. He was a member of the 752nd ROB, in the unlikely role of a military policeman. It starts to make sense when I explain he was a railway policeman for the Delaware and Hudson Railway for a number of years before the War. He took the job in Rouses Point after he graduated from the New York State School for Police in 1933. I think Mr. Harrison and I have met. To the best of my knowledge, I don't have any field or technical materials among my collection, but I will look again. Mr Williams and Mr. Harrison may find material of interest to them on this site. Many other ROBs are represented, but nothing existed on the 752nd until I supplied the webmaster with my material. Just keep scrolling down... Charlie East Amherst, NY.
