Well, that review really gets me excited about reading the book.

We know in general terms what it is about. Tell us more of the book, the content, writing style, readability, presence or absence of photos and good maps, why you liked it, etc.

Has this book been mentioned here before, either way it sounds really good. Trouble is unless it turns up in British book shops or through a online bookseller I use then US PUB books can be difficult to get although we have a Borders, store near me would they be a good bet?

wtid45, I would certainly check there first if it isnt too far out of your way. Generally, whatever Amazon carries, Borders has as well. Good luck. (I'm going out this PM to check at my Borders store too!)

Read it last year. Definitely a good read for those fans of the Band of Brothers characters. Nothing really new here, just different angles on stories we already know about. Shocker, apparently Wild Bill really was quite the ladies man!

The friendship between these two guys, though, that's the underlying theme in this book and it is truly amazing. I believe they said that not a day has gone by in the last 60 (yes, SIXTY) years where they have not seen or spoken with one another over the phone.
