HMS Hood dvds or HMS Hoodvs Bismark dvds (documentary)

Hi All

I'm in need of some help, im looking for a dvd of either the HMS Hood vs the Bismark as a documentary, not as a motion picture or a dvd that charts through the history of the HMS

The problem i have i that it is a present for my girlfriends father and he is a member o the Hood appreciation society and has quite an extensive collection of HMS Hood memrobilia.

I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction of where to locate such Dvds or dvds of a similar nature

 

There was an excellent documentary done on the HMS Hood including underwater footage of the wreck. The lone survivor was present for the exploration i recall. It aired a few years ago on i think the Discovery channel or the National Geographic channel. There may be DVD's of that program available. It was superbly done for sure.

Also i believe 'Dogfights' also delves into the battle and is also an excellent Documentary series available on DVD.

Yes, I have that episode of Dogfights on DVD but it goes more into the sinking of the Bismarck than the destruction of the Hood. It's more like a footnote than a chapter. Although unless your in-law is on the German side, it might make him happy that the Bismarck gets blown up at the end. I guess. In other words, not a good buy if you're looking for a documentary.

Dogfights (Hunt for Bismark) has it in their complete season one, it tells alot about how the Hood was lost, then the Hunt For Bismark
