Get them while they last. http://www.echopointbooks.com/product-tag/tanks/ http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1626540918/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=
Paperback! Yay! That is bleedin' cheap if you're a Murcan (British price same in £ as $, the swine). They have their flaws, and are a tad long in the tooth in some respects, but I'll stand up for my Hunnicutts as still worth the price of admission. Now if those lollards at HMSO could get their reprint act together re. Fletcher's WW2 Tank books, the world could be a much better place.
Totally agree about HMSO, though my main gripe is about a non tank book, (Roskill's war at sea). After years of looking for the HMSO edition of the last volume the end I gave up and completed my set with a cheap paperback edition with no folding maps.
The Fletcher books being out of print is such a shame. I eventually got a set, but it took so much work to find them for less than ridiculous prices. Not available in any other legitimate form than the original editions. For works that I'd consider central to their particular field, it's odd that they haven't even appeared in publish-on-demand form. Thinking about it; quite disappointed at publish on demand's failure to take off all that strongly. Few years ago I was expecting it to become the norm. Suppose electronic books are becoming standard.
