Well guys Osprey has put out a pretty darn nice little book for around $20.00 US, thanks Stevin ! ;)

I haven't read the whole thing yet, but there are about 60 profiles which they have done artisticaly pretty well. Would of like to have seen Kelly Gross's P-51 "Live Bait" during 1945, but they included his earlier P-51B and his P-47.
My good friend Cary Salter is leaning on his P-51D "Charlotte's Chariot" on page 114. This pic is his business card and is very cool. 128 pages, many pics and some good text. I have the original fighter group history and this overshadows that $ 75.00 plus book by far ! Osprey Aviation Elite # 7.
they also have done a fighter group history on the 8th af 352nd fighter group, the famous Blue Nose Bastards of Bodney. The big fighter group history book is incredible, and if you don't have that then maybe this little jewel will help....

Sounds good to me and hopefully I can get B&N to order a copy for me. Last night I just picked up another book on a Waffen SS Div--see my newest posting on it.
