No, the Socialist Left Party in Norway, which is the only anti-Israel party to speak of, has only some 10% of the votes, but they have an influence through media which is completely out of proportion with their support.

But I can think many reasons why the arabs hate Israel, not that I think they are good reasons or have any sympathy for them, but I can't understand why the left has so much emotional antipathy for Israel. There is simply no logical reason for it, and their retorics have degenerated into emotional porn.

You say that last part about "emotional porn" as though it were something new, Varyag.

What frosts my cookies is that Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East, is the only nation in the United Nations which is not allowed to sit on the Security Council. Bloody Arabs... :angry:

As far as why the left hates Israel so much, well, there are those who would say that the left is a pawn of the devil (and I have no trouble whatsoever believing that of the radical far left types). Which is actually the only explanation I can find for their blind, unreasoning hatred of Israel that makes any kind of sense. If anyone has a better explanation, I'd like to hear it.
