No, but it seems that it was originally owned by the "firm", and thus seems like "no deal" once I found the previous seller...

Stay as far away from him as possible, he royally screwed me and another person whom I know who was doing a major trade with him like I had done. My Army Forestry stuff is gone as well as a minty pair of Generalleutnants Shoulderboards. That stuff alone was then about $2,000--which ive never been able to replace.

Disregard my last post, I had not read this thread fully through before spouting off. And glad you have listened. There are just too many great dealers out there with loads of stuff and for better prices-who will not shaft you in any way, shape or form. Ive been thinking of starting to do some business with some dealers in Berlin.

Hi, I have recently aquired a mint condition Honolulu Star Bulletin 1st Extra news bulletin for Dec.7th, 1941. The headline states "WAR! OAHU BOMBED BY JAPANESE PLANES". Another smaller article to the top right of the page states, " SAN FRANCISCO, DEC. 7th.-President Roosevelt has announced this morning that Japanese planes had attacked Manila and Pearl Harbour.
Now I know this is a pretty significant article. Could anyone help me out with an appraisal or maybe what they think it might or could be worth, I would never think of selling it, would just be neat to know. Thanks.

It's not worth a lot, considering many thousands were printed .I don't bother piking them up when I find some at flea markets.

I started with a collection of items I received through family and veterans after 10 years of collecting I decided it was time for me to focus. The german market is a though one, if you know that they cutt up Original great coats and make tunics out of them... also lots of put together Original items that are way overpriced and sold as Original attached insignia.

Anyway if I was to start again, I would focus on a subject, division , helmets, or medals maybe.
The important thing is to have fun in collecting, Always try to improve your collection,, think about how you want to display it etc etc.

As for advice apart from this forum I have had very good experience on the following:

    wehrmacht-awards.com
    usmilitariaforum.com

    Hope this helps a bit.

    Good luck with your collection!!
