Going through my books the heaviest aircraft I can find that flew in WWII at all was the Martin Mars flying boat, tipping the scales at 165,000lbs fully loaded.

No Luftwaffe aircraft or German prototype I can find anything about comes even remotely close.

I guess a lot depends on whether you are referring to loaded or empty weights... :-?

 

Was it the BV222 Wiking?

 

At 108,027lbs maximum take off weight this is considerably less than the Mars, so it can't be that either...

 

Maybe me262 missed that one...

 

Just going through my books in a bit more detail for this one it appears that particular version of the Mars didn't fly until 1947, the wartime one was lighter, although it doesn't mention actual weights.

In terms of aircraft that actually flew during the war the heaviest contender I can find is the Douglas XB-19, not much short of the MArs at 164,000lbs fully loaded, and was used as a transport.

I just found out that the germans had another heavy plane, the D0 214, alias P 192, with a loaded weight of 319,580 lbs, but it was canceled in 1943 by RLM
