White sheep blaming black sheep, and black sheep blaming white sheep, while neither see the pack of snarling, drooling wolves that have them surrounded.
Divide & conquer ... oldest plan in the book.
Me first ? NO !
    America first.
    Republicans are the new Democrats.
    Democrats are the new Communists.
Get rid of the Electoral College, go back to popular vote (with paper ballots), it just makes it "cheaper" for the wolves to buy the election.
Add more parties, with "one" term limits, at half the wage there is now.
Even the wolves don't have enough to "continuously" buy their favorable laws. This is the only effective wolf repellent.
Election/Campaign reform ? Biggest joke ever. Why don't you let Charlie Manson give the final verdict as to his guilt ? Get the picture ?;)
As long as YOU demand this retro Circus as a part of the election process, and YOU forget about important issues (not "shill" "very" special interest issues), you will be angry and unsatisfied.
The truth is obvious ... where the change needs to be is obvious ... YOU are being bought as the country is ... with money that was stolen from YOU ... why don't YOU see it ?

I thought so-your living in a sea of liberals. And for any State that still keeps wide-tedward kennedy on their payroll, I think some serious thinking needs to go on to see about replacing that crusty fart who got away with killing Mary-Jo Capechne (SP?) even though everybody knew wide-ted-was as guilty then as oj simpson is now (for the murders of Ron Goldman, it's former soulmate & for the robbery in Las Vegas.)

I forgot to mention that I also know a person who is far left who also lives in Beantown. Though this guy and I are friends-you just can't convince him that day is light and night is dark-no matter how hard one might try. ;-))

    Best regards-C.

The Political system only works if those who lose accept that they have no divine right to set policy. If your choice fails to get elected then you had better realise that you are in a minority. If that means eveyone else is stupid and not as clever as you then so be it.
On the news tonight I saw a report from somewhere in the South. A 'voter' was explalning why he was not going to vote for Obama-him being a Muslim 'an all that!

I've been voting ever since I became of age to do so. I make it a habit to vote in every election held. All I have to say to those who don't vote but constantly b-i-t-c-h that things aren't going the way they wanted them to go-is tough shi! you have no right to complain-if you don't take the short time it takes to go vote. Hundreds of thousands of our Veterans died-to give one the right to vote and possibly make a difference.

Whether or not the right side loses this election-that still means that the winner is our leader-no matter how it's looked at. I loathed bill clinton and everything it stood for, but it was still my President-though I voted for somebody else both times.

I like what Perot said standing between Bush Sr. & Clinton. Pointing at one and then the other saying "it's not your fault, and it's not your fault, I'm just here to find out who's fault it is."
    Vote the incumbents out.
Not the parties ... the "incumbents". It was their watch, after you get past all the finger-pointing, rhetoric, (bought with your money) advertising, prejudice, anger, manipulation, programing etc., it was a big group of people from all sides at the helm.
The President is a lame duck & not in the running, so you can go either way there, but the rest ...
Who is responsible if not those who took your money to be in charge ?
Use your head and don't listen to anyone, you'll never hear the whole story.
You can vote the same party in again if you want/must, just remove the ones in there now that voted in favor of this (& more) bail-outs.
If you don't, you're the stupid one, and the one they were hoping you'd be.
They're the ones who suck. (hand in your Cookie Jar)
"See the ball Danny, b ... be, be the b ... ball Danny." Caddyshack
Get rid of professional (endless term) politicians. One apiece from now on, Senate, House, or Vice or President ... one only, then good bye from those four places forever.

How could it hurt ? (pension = to time served)

current (though ancient) ways are working so well ... aren't they ?

Makest thou not assumptions where the schooling of this young lad occurs. It is not a public school in Massachusetts.

After talking with this young man a while back, I can assure you that, while we do not agree at all on politics, he is worthy of congenial discussion and it is expected.

You'll catch a lot more flies with honey than with vinegar.

Thank you for the defense Slip.

I actually go to a MA Private school.

Saying General McKiernan's name was ''Mcllelean' and she also said that his stance was for having a Iraq styled surge when in fact he does not.

Can't name if off the top of my head, I'll temporarily concede this point.

No, plain and simple. That is an assumption with nothing to back it up.

Then we have a fundamental disagreement on what the definition of conservative is.

I've smoked Marijuana once my life out of curiosity, never have had anything else and nor do I plan to. Not a drinker either for the record. So please don't assume that is why I liked him.

Mother is a Nurse 23 years, Dad is a Stock Broker 22 years.

No, my parents where completely apathetic to politics and religion up until I started getting interested late last year and encouraged them to vote and register. My father registered at age 45, and my mother at age 41 and voted for the first time. I am 16 and already plan to register the day I turn 18.

    Opinions, I like it here.

My parents are hard working people who raised me well, and I don't appreciate that unnecessary insult.

It should also be noted that Bush was President for 8 months before 9/11.

Hi SkunkW, well said and I had to give ya a salute of thanks for this. I completely agree-ross perot was nothing but a complete waste of time and votes. Had this shrimp of nautre kept his big nose outta this-I think Bush Sr would have won and that we'd not have had to endure 8 yrs of slick willy-and very likely would also not have had Grorgs Jr in office-nor the wierdos like kerry and gore-both crying that they lost the election. I wae embarassed when gore held up that election and the world had to have been laughing at us for it.

That's about as fair as me saying you live in a sea of conservatives who elected the moron George Bush as Governor. I'm not fan of stereotypes.
