    Context matters.

Believe it or not, I thought you were referring to John W. "Applejack" Whipple who was a POW of the Japanese during WWII and had been trying to find a photo of him in uniform. My search was hampered by the ubiquitous MLP results. So, when I saw Jugs reply, I had to laugh and don't apologize for it.

Being new, you may not have noticed that we have the highest respect and regard for all veterans, but especially our WWII veterans. At the same time, we are not humorless.

Now, someone needs to start a new thead, "Favorite MLP Character". ;)

Edit: Until now, I hadn't made the connection with this post:

First of all I was being sarcastic. Second of all I didn't realize the OP was a thirteen year old until I just now logged back on and clicked on their profile. I do not believe in picking on women, children, the elderly or the weak. So, WarPony45, if indeed you are 13 years old, I apologize.

Well I'm not little and this is the first time a 13 year old has referred to me in this manner, thanks for the chuckle. SOB, yeah I've been called that a few times, and also a lot worse things. It really doesn't bother me, heck most of the time I deserve it.

Since when are ponies people? And have you actually met one (MLP)???

Unless AppleJack earned it, AppleJack don't need to be wearing it.

Again, if you are really 13 (you can't tell on the internet), and I hurt your feelings, I am sorry.

Thank you for the kind words Alan! I assure you the respect is mutual. I am a Marine Corps veteran as is Jughead. I also did four years as an Army Special Operations Medical Sgt. after I got out of the Marine Corps. IIRC, I think Jugs did a pump with the Army after he got out also. Please correct me if I am wrong Brad. I am sure you will.
Thanks again for the kind works.

Errm, I always thought applejack was a brandy . . . I have an unopened bottle of Captain Applejack brandy that's 50 years old, scared to think of what might come crawling out of there if I were to open it. Anywho, it has a piratish figure on the label, same one they've use since Prohibition ended . . . in my naivety here I thought there was a WW2 era label changing the pirate to a Marine . . . you know, like Lucky Strike green changing to red. Horses, cartoon horses, imagine that.

Last night you made 7 posts. 3 of them dealt with this, IIRC. I'm not trying to be mean because a ) I have better things to do ;) and b ) I don't fill my "fun quota" by being a "keyboard warrior", especially when it comes to young people. I had a very strong interest in WW2 as well from a very young age, and I'm sure many hear were in the same boat. I'm just trying to explain to you that no one is being overtly militant towards you, that this isn't the right forum to be bringing this up in and you can't say that this reaction was unexpected.

Take my advice or leave it, but I do suggest you check your attitude at the door. Cheers.

Here is a little pony that a Marine could love.

Great now you have me imagining some diesel punk version of the German army using those to pull artillery and supplies.

You are one of the most calmest person I've met on the internet. I'm sorry about that shit. I've been under a lot of stress and everything. You don't need to apologize I do. I'm sorry I'm sorry. And on the internet I can't really tell if one is sarcastic. My apologizes and I'm glad I made you laugh. Also thank you for your service. And one more I'm sorry.

Please just shut the hell up. I'm under tons of stress at the moment and you are only making it worse. I'm sorry for being rude and I'm sorry for those 3 posts that seem to hurt you so dearly. Also what was that 3rd one that I can't remember. Again I'm under some stress considering my grand uncle a WWII. USN corpsman is on his death bed.

I'm not blaming you. I was saying that I'm under a lot of stress and you are not helping it. It doesn't seem like you were helping.
