Bastogne and Hurtgen Forest tour 2009

    Since this is one of my favorite battles in WW2....I found some new material (for those interested)

    On Common Ground: A World War 2 reunion.

    For those that have Netflix you can stream it.

    Good Pics!!!! I live 40 min away from Bastogne and have metal detected there over 50 times and have only found shells and bits of metal....

    With that many trips to the area under your belt I would have thought you would have unearthed some good finds.

    Thanks for the info Bunkervos.

    We went to all the bunkers in the Ochsenkopf area during this years trip to the region. Almost all the bunkers were completely demolished by US engineers to prevent the germans from reoccupying them (post No31 shows one of the destroyed bunkers).

    Some are even buried under mounds of earth.
