I'm thinking about buying the following books. Are they a good choice or si there anything else you can recommend? *Blinkhorn, Martin - Fascism and the Right in Europe, 1919-45 *Griffin, Roger - Theories of Fascism *Macdonald, Hamish - Mussolini and Italian Fascism *Reich, Wilhelm - Mass Psychology of Fascism *Payne, Stanley G. - History of Fascism, 1914-1943 *Linehan, Thomas P - British Fascism, 1918-1939 Best regards/ Daniel
Daniel, The book you have listed by Martin Blinkhorn is alright, not his best, but alright. I enjoyed Mussolini and Fascism alot more. It is quite short, but fairly in depth. Mussolini and Italian Fascism is a great book. Definately look at getting it. As for recomendations, anything by Denis Mack Smith would be a good idea. I have a few of his books around, I'll get the titles for you as soon as I get home. DUCE
Bit belated, but one book I'm currently finding very handy is Phillip Morgan's brief one-volume history, 'Italian Fascism 1919-1945'. Very accessible and readable.
I've read this one and it is not too detailed by ok. You might also try "The rise of Facism" by F.L. Carsten. It addresses Facism throughout the world at its height.
Good choices, Daniel. But let me suggest you: Elena Hernández Sandoica, "Los fascismos europeos",Madrid, 1992. (The European Fascisms) from Mussolini to Hitler passing through Franco and Metaxas. I hope you could get an English or Swedish copy of it. I bought it at Madrid some years ago.
