I didn't say any were acceptable (except possibly Viz) now did I? I simply stated that (indeed in my opinion) the Mail is the most worthy of criticism. You'll note I'm generally pick aboutn what I criticise in their articles, post something on WW2 and generally there won't be any problems. Post something about how a school has fired someone for being Christian and I'll be there to point out that a. they aren't telling the whole story and b. what they are telling ou is being put forward in such a way that a perfectly reasonable action is actually a heinous crime.

Whilst we are talking about this though, if all papers are equally unreliable why post reports from any of them?

It is well known the the Left is soft on Islamic activists/terrorists. Without their support, the islam UK would be powerless and more of an inconvenient itch than anything else, strange group of bedfellows indeed. My facts are on target. A clear example of immigrants not assimilating but aggravating. No rubbish, just concern for my fellow englishmen. How bout that raise in alert status;)

Why apologize? What you believe in is both nobel and honorable. Climbing on the band wagon is how you get your country back from the guilt mongers.

Godbless the troops, Queen and England. Nice flag!:)

Hilts, there is a difference between being respectful, raising money for those who are injured, supporting troops etc and the kind of pointless, undignified, generally fairly shallow rubbish that goes on. I'm all for people showing their respects but things like wooton bassett have become a circus as the media gets involved and then members of the public who generally couldn't give two hoots for soldiers are all of a sudden crying in the streets like competitors in some sort of 'who cares the most' olympics.

I know loads of people who 'support the troops' and do it without embarassing themselves and those they claim to support, by the sounds of it you are one of them, there is nothing wrong with that. I just don't see why people feel this urge to jump on some sort of emotional bandwaggon to show how much they care.

Anyhow, I'm going to leave it there before this degenerates into more of a rant. Top tip for those folks sending out welfare parcels though, there are enough sweets, toiletaries and tea bags out here to last us until 2020, what is universally needed is new pants, new films and anything that will make folks laugh.

    Rant/ramble over.

Come on guys, let's not feed the troll.

Gordon, come on, no need to be like that. Nobody is telling you what to post etc, I simply stated why I tend to criticise posts from certain sorces. There is nothing wrong with that. As for my last question, it was simply that, a question.

Anyhow, surely that is the way a forum is meant to work, someone posts something, people discuss it. If someone posts something about a controvercial subject from a source that is openly inaccurate what is wrong with criticising it?

But people rarely criticise the story, just the paper carrying it.

Well, I do my best to stick to the substance of the story. But hey, no need to listen to these people.

Not embarrased at all. I accept you really didnt have a clue about who they were, or that they had been banned as an orginisation by a lefty govt. Cant help it if you cant fathom out reality from your ideology. Its called facts...Some of us use em, some others dont. I accept you dont. But you dont half make me laugh with your ramblings.

When we did Ride To The Wall (RTTW) last Autumn, 3,000+ bikes rode to The national memorial, just outside Lichfield. We all raised a heap of money for that cause. As we rode in procession through the towns, people stood by the roadside with banners supporting the ride and our troops. They waved England flags, union flags, they applauded us, every bridge and walkway over the road was also crowded. They shouted thanks to us for doing something to show Gordon & Co what they felt about the support the forces get or don't get.........

I understand what you say about some of the Wooton Bassett stuff but the RAF supplied a Spitfire flypast for us at RTTW. The forces made it very clear at RTTW just how much that sort of POSITIVE support means to the guys & girls abroad. Bikers do it to make a statement to our Govt. I'd hope maybe 4,000 bikes will ride through W-B on Mother's Day. I see it as a political statement and a statement of support.

And if it shames the Govt into buying more helicopters or getting them better medical facilities, 'Job Done'!!

Speaking as a citizen of the U.K., and living in a Commonwealth country to boot that has fought with "the mother land" in every war last century, I can well see whats happening to England for the simple reason that it's happening here, in Australia, as well.

Our wonderful elected 'representatives' made something called 'multiculturalism' LAW...meaning that whatever cultural stuff we happened to have in existence already was rendered entirely obselete in the space of 5 years. This is not to mention the Americanization of of sub-culture and youth, which was OK, because this process was already under way from WW2 onward, but straightjacketing us all into a mixture simply to please people that had turned up looking to tune into OUR way of life...well, we had it jammed down our throats from the very beginning.

If I, as a citizen of the U.K., emigrated to Turkey, I would be instantly transported into a world of Turkish nationalism, Turkish food, Turkkish social customs, Turkish law and made to go along with the social graces of Turksh religon, all in the name of integrating with my new found home...WHY can't our immigrants do the same? Or go home....

My Grandmother could not understand the Americanization of Australia. "Chris, we have a perfectly good culture of our own here already, why do we need to become the 52nd State of the Union?"....The present state of affairs would have left her completely gobsmacked, but she's passed on now, and I don't think she would have understood multiculturalism any more than she understood Americanization.

We in the West are victims of our own commercial and social success. How do we point out to 2 billion of the worlds population (China and India) that we don't have enough resources globally so that EVERYONE can live a "Western" lifestyle? Much of our resource "shortage" stems from this very desire of nearly a third of the globe suddenly wishing to live like the Western portion of the globe does. And whatever happened to their own culture? India and China have been around a lot longer, and have developed over far more time than we have, but with the advent of the 20th/21st century, suddenly they wish to throw off many thousands of years of their own culture and replace it with a lifestyle that we as Westerners call our own?

All muticulturalism does is to drive an economic and social wedge through the different groups. Get rid of it.

    I hate Asian food anyway.

I love Asian food...Hate globalisation....The new Americanisation...The word for today. Globalisation....Gordon Browns favourite word. Count it in any speech he may make.

Individualism is dead long live globalisation in the name of trade.

Maybe it will soon appear in the forces oath at join up.

    Maybe!??

We pledge to defend....(UK, Germany, Norway, Italy....etc. etc.) and we defend our "national" interests globally by stationing our troops all over the globe, don't we?

Ups, sorry not our national interests, our GLOBAL interests/commitment.;)

    Regards
    Kruska

It is well known that the Left is sympathetic to fundamentalist Islam. The Pathetic Progressives in your government salivated over the prospect and action of having Al-Qaeda linked associates like Anjem Choudary, Noman Benotman, Saad Al Faqih walking about freely. Picking apart Tony Blair? Why are they collecting benefits from the govt? Watching 2000 known Terrorists according to your security services. There are some facts for you, why have they not be deported? Your terrorist threat level raised. You're more concerned about Statewatchesque rights for terrorists than protecting your own law abiding citizens. How's that multicultural, Hopey-Changey progressive stuff working out for you folks there in Lemmingland.;) Haven't learned your lesson's from history, have you Neville. Btw nice sheep avatar:rolleyes:

A little lonely under that bridge?

Or that they were banned by a left wing leaning government....Another bit you didnt have a clue about before engaging mouth.
Now your all over the place...You really dont have a clue...Smoke and mirrors. Stick to the facts...they shine through your balderdash and uniformed warblings.
