Campaign - Players Countries!

Sorry Kai, bad news, due to a recent 'accident' at a German Communist Party rally (they were all attending a concert when the hall was burned down by a dutch communist, I knew moving the Reichstag to the Berlin Opera House was a bad move), now they number just 4, all of whom are in the intensive care ward of the local hospital.

Sorry to be the bearer of sad news.

Andy, I should like to propose something to you, Jet and whoever winds up in control of Czecholsovakia and Romania, a Central European Defense Agreement through which we can all prepare ourselves for the impending assaults from the east! I am offering you a chance to turn central europe into a fortress, with each others help (and only with each others help) we can hold our borders and protect our people from the cold eastern wind that is preparing to blow through the majestic hills and pastures of our homelands. Let the greatest peoples in Europe unite under the banner of friendship to protect our people, their children and their childrens children from the ravages of 'uncle Joe' and his army of evil! Are you with me?!

 

Brad T and Stefan. Do not forget about the French Navy and French Air Force. Now that General Reddog has assumed power I assure the people of the free world that France's military will be competently led.

Hmmm...interesting. Everyone´s making defensive pacts...looks like a short war.

I guess when the game starts we´ll get our objectives and how well we do on that get points etc. I mean the tendencies of countries should be considered as well. Unless there are conflicts there are no actions in this game. Danzig. Bessarabia. Without things like Molotov Ribbentrop pact there´s no war in Poland, I guess. Without lebensraum thoughts there are no moves for Germany around.

Hungary seems willing for a hostile takeover by Fallschirmjäger...Germans seldom respected the leader of the country once they got their troops over the border...

 

Hostile takeover? Not at all, I am simply offering a number of paratroopers to aid in the defense of Hungary against the bolshevic agressors. The same offer is open to anyone who wants my support in bolstering their own nations defenses against the east.

 

I´m honoured that the Great German nation ONLY sees problems in the east...

 

Germany is a true ally . I'd like to see how Russia will work amongst her allies . The way I see it though is that Poland will be the most important country in the game. If German troops (and Hungary troops if needed ) marched into Poland the Russians will use the oppurtunity to attack the Axis forces. Or if Russian troops invade Warsaw Axis troops will atack to keep the Russians as furthest away from German soil. No win scenario is the way I see it LOL. But anyway it doesn't matter the Axis will prevail

 

Maybe Kai's right....Stefan you are fixing your eyes to much on the east, maybe the Axis should concentrate on the British and French as well.

Jet I don't think you realize that the Axis is fighting a uphill battle either way.

You really don't have many options become a soviet Satellite or a nazi sattalite. Or you can choose to ally yourself with France and the UK, and remain a sovereign nation.

 

Reddog has a good point, you have a simple option, be occupied by the evil Soviets, be an ally of a victorious Germany or be a sovreign nation with Britain and France (for a year or so before your allies are conquored, at which point you must decide if you prefer occupation by Germany or Russia). Truthfully, the best option has to be the alliance we discussed earlier, you will find that Germany has numerous allies and that we are rapidly forming a powerful central block in Europe, able to protect ourselves against both east and west.

I should also like to point out that as things stand I have no quarrel with the great western powers, I stand in awe at the magnificence of the British Empire and the cultural giant that is France. I have no interest in expanding my already ample borders yet I am not so short sighted that I can not see the threat from the east, the Red Bear is stirring in the siberian wastes and I will defend my borders and the rest of Europe and the civilised world against it!

 

In your first paragraph you state that France and the UK will be conquered.

Yet in your second paragraph you state you have no quarrel with France and the UK

 

I shall fight and die for the Germans . But what do you think will happen IF the Russians and British and French invade Germany ? Russia won't exactly leave the British and French alone.

We have no quarrel with either of these great nations, however if they have a quarrel with us you will see that we Germans know how to fight and how to sell our lives dearly!

Jet, your loyalty is admirable, with such unity of voice and action how can we ever be cast asunder!

 

Stefan the way I see it is that you know what is happening. You know the capabilities of the Russians and that they would stop at nothing for domination with such a huge army at their disposal. Germany is willing to protect its Allies, Russia is not. I have not seen once Russia claiming to protect its Allies. It is clear that the British and French will eventually attack, and they have no idea why they are attacking as Germany has done nothing to provoke them. Attacking Russia is the right thing to do for the good of Europe. Hungary will support and die for such a noble cause alongside Germany.

 

Jet, you misunderstand, I am the leader of a peaceful Germany, since the sad death of Hitler I have tried to move my nation onto the path of peace, I do not plan to attack Russia, I just see the threat it poses and am preparing a measured response to any agression.

 

Oh Man!!! You cant KILL Hitler!

CVM, I am sorry to inform you that Herr Hitler, our Glorious Fuhrer was killed in an accident, I, Stefan Zaum, was chosen to replace him. That is where the sudden policy change came from as reguards defense and the east.

Sorry guys, the Fuhrer is dead, I now must fill his shoes.

Anyway, I have a feeling that Germany by the way of economics is not able to continue its peace line. By what I´ve read Hitler was reinforcing his army too much and it was either crush the German economy or get money by other means i.e. attacking and conquering countries.

The difference for Russia is that Stalin did not need to care for the dying people in Ukraine etc. It just happened. The wheat etc was sold and the money was used for buying and producing heavy machinery and factories. And **** the people....
