Can you identify this artillery shell casing?

I purchased this artillery shell lamp at an estate sale. The projectile would be 3" / 75mm in dia. The end of the case has been cut off (ouch) so there are no identifying marks, but it is approximately 13" or 330mm in length. Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. This is my first time on this forum but I buy artillery stuff whenever I can. Usually I can ID it without help, but I am stumped here!
