I'd like to see a Bama USC playoff but not in the Rose bowl but in a neutral location like Montana out on someones Ranch
No . . . really . . . Yea! Alabama . . . Roll Tide! See. . . I am the genuine article. Just turn your car around and go home. . . .
Oh...uh...er..um...er...uh...I could be the...uh...measles and...and...and he'd need to see a doctor...and...that's all. I was just concerned about his health and all that, you see.
Florida manhandled the gamecocks today (although that phrasing does not sound very good . . . ). They are the team to beat.
When LSU was down by 28, late in the third, against lowly Troy State, I went to bed hoping that LSU was caught napping, but this morning I read they ripped off 30 4th quarter points to win-oh bugger (I dislike LSU)
Well, I wanted T-Roy to win because it is an Alabama school and is not too far down the road. I'm glad they lost because a win over a team that lost to The Crimson Tide would diminish the strength of the victory over LSU by Alabama. Also, the win might help TSU* in recruiting blue chips in the state. *I can't get used to calling it Troy University. It has been Troy STATE University for pretty much all of my life and their late rebranding of the school does not sit well with me as my diploma has Troy State University on it.
BC looked good against FSU but it only got them up to 26 in today's rankings. ACC teams hold 7 of the spots between 22 and 31. They are canibalizing their conference and a lot of teams still have a very realistic shot at going to the ACC Championship game. BC is in 4th place in its division but it will win if it beats Wake and Maryland over the next two weeks. No one wants to pull away from the pack.
Where is Mike today?. . . . He has not posted the new polls. I'll give him til tomorrow morning and then I shall have to usurp his authority in this arena!
Wisconsin has a football team? Y'all fight over an axe, dontcha? I'll post the top 25 for Mike. The Crimson Tide is holding on the top spot, but TT and UF are hanging on tight. I'm turning into a Gator hater again. AP Top 25 1. The Crimson Tide (42) 11-0 1,601 2. Texas Tech (21) 10-0 1,574 3. Florida (2) 9-1 1,476 4. Texas 10-1 1,437 5. Oklahoma 9-1 1,369 6. Thanks Jeff. Sorry guys, but I'm in the middle of a move so this weekend was a bit busy. Missed all college football games this week and about the only rec time I got was to hook up with Tomcat for about an hour on Xbox around 2:00 in the morning. Next weekend should be a bit calmer for me, so will watch more diligently.
Once again, an ACC team has fallen to an unranked team on Thursday night. The Jackets put a real hurt on Miami, and I enjoyed it! None of these ACC teams deserve a trip to the Orange Bowl . . . or maybe most of them do. I just can't be sure.
Some great games on tap today. My BC Eagles can wrap up the ACC Atlantic with a win over the Terrapins. That probably is only of interest to me, of course! Florida vs. Florida State and Auburn vs. Bama will be good viewing so now I just need to find a way to sit at my television today! Good luck to Bama and Florida -- I want them 1-2 when they meet in the SEC Championship game (which might as well be called the National Championship Game)!
