Wow, did you see where Les Miles threw is QB under the bus, saying that he didn't tell the QB to spike the ball when the videos distinctly show otherwise? To paraphrase Paul Bryant, every loss is the head coach's fault.
hmmm as I am reading this thread I see Alabama college football merchandise advertised above.......you wouldn't happen to know anything about this now would you Jeff
Innocent, I am. That is a random ad. Now, if I had control over that, all that would be up there would be Crimson Tide paraphernalia. RTR
Lol I will never go over to the red side, I'll stay faithful to my Tigers...I can imagine the rivalry, something like we have in Canada between the Canadiens and the Leafs. @Mussolini: They were a winning team when I started watching lol...I don't think we need to talk about how they're fairing this year. I'm not a fan of bandwagon jumpers.
big game in about 3 hrs for Orygun teams ranked 7th and 16th depending on which poll you trust, the game for the Roses. local yocals are calling this quite the play off in some years, hopeful the Quacks will not blow the Beavs out of the water as my brides Ama M. out of Corvallis, thank God I am not in the area of Eugenes insanity right now as everyone is scampering around for a parking place. good luck all. Florida/Alabama should be a real thriller on the morrow
Some of us here in Tigerland are begining to hope that he'll get the call from Michigan State to "come home." His winning record is a little better than Nick Saban's time here (both had 4 years at the helm), but Les Miles style is showing more and more as time goes by.
I read (but rarely post) an SEC sports board similar to this forum. The LSU faithful tore into Miles about that far worse than posters from other teams. They were rather angry about this. Jim Kelly from Cincy headed to Notre Dame? I'm thinking so.
Yes, there is still much upheaval over the entire issue, poor time management, questionable clutch-time decisions, and doing the deceitful thing you mentioned, throwing the 19 year old quarterback to the wolves to save his a$$ like he did. This entire episode has marred his reputation massively, perhaps too much. There's just some things you don't do, and blaming that incident on that boy like he did when cameras are on his a$$ like stink on sh1t during the game documenting everything is one of them. The alumni and boosters were ready to run him out of town on a rail after tarring and feathering him for weeks. They still are. He got raked over the coals a good bit, and it's still not over. If that would have happened in Tiger Stadium, he never would have gotten out alive. Ole Miss is OUR traditional rival. That was a typical Les Miles performance. A strong first half, a lack-luster second half, a great jump through the a$$ backward through flaming hoops electrifying last-minute comeback capped off with the biggest bone-head last second play in Tiger history. He is going to hell for this....
Getting off the 'Bama/Florida slant, I just stopped watching the University of Montana's game against the Texas team (Stephen F. Austin) in NCAA Div. I FCS Quarterfinal game. I quit watching when the U of M had a 51-0 lead in the fourth quarter. I think they will move on to the next level.
How about that can the Crimson Tide opened up last night? After that dreadful game against the Barn, I was just hoping the SECCG was just going be close. I don't know why, but I have never hated Florida, never have. I save my venon for the Barn, obviously, and Tennessee. RTR
I shouldn't say I hate Florida, but I do dislike them. I think it's a mix of the woopin' they tend to put on Ohio State (like when they won the National Championship in football AND basketball in the same year), and because I'm sick of hearing about Tim Tebow. I'm going to guess that the Barn is Auburn?
Well we Tennessee fans hate your Elephants right back. But I sure was rooting for them last night. Good thing Texas got lucky, otherwise TCU would cause the uproar of the century in the B.ad C.hoice Series.
As crappy as the BCS is, I would have loved to see TCU in the Title game. Or Cincy. I'm not too sure about Boise State, they need to play some more big name schools first.
I was very pleased with the way the Crimson Tide preformed. Sacked Tebow 8 times, and dominated Florida at every turn. I believe the performance, coupled with McCoys poor performance for Texas, should be enough to give Ingram the Heisman. Nebraska almost pulled out the upset against Texas. Penalties killed them! Boy, did both TCU and Boise got screwed. They will not be given the chance to play big name teams in bowl games in a chance to prove they are as good as everyone else. Instead they will play each other.
I would have thought that Texas would have gotten the wake up call after my Aggies gave them a good fight. They better get serious.
I really wanted Texas to lose so that the BCS would be even more tarnished than it already is. I had a hard time deciding who to root for in the Alabama-Florida game. I don't like either one. I wish they had an option where both teams could lose.
