No it doesnt leave much in strategy. we can do any map and just make a inf only rule. but iwiuld prefer a mixed set up.

The only issue with mixed setup means a bigger map + more turns. Otherwise vehicles will be basically point-blank shooting each other. A bigger map means Inf take a lot longer to get anywhere and engage as well.

Can't seem to really find combat mission available beyond their site. Might be tough to convince myself to repurchase it it again, especially with their insanely ridiculous prices. I thought I had the disc around still, but I might have to step down in dishonor.

I'm sure you could find it on ebay for cheap. If not it looks like Otto needs to step in for this one.

Nah, I'll end up just repurchasing it. No need to sweat over it I guess.

I'll see you guys at the front.

Cool, looking toward the boss for a bit more info and a timetable for battle.

And looking down the road, I also have Combat Mission: Battle for Normandy, we may be able to get a few more people who play that game.

I think we've got our 4 players then? Might as well move the start date up and get things rolling?

Since I'm out of the tournament, I've gone ahead and selected two very good maps for it.

Round 1 is a rework of the infamous Trollville map, now known as Trollville II. In round one, players will play both sides simultaneously and add their scores to see who advances.

Round 2 is an extremely balanced map called River Meeting. The map has a long history of play (60+) with a very balanced record. Players have the option to play both sides in this map, but it is not required as the historical balance is so close.

See the initial post in this thread for snapshots of the maps, and first round match ups.

Ah, nervous that I'm paired against musso. Playing in the duce's backyard as me teetering on edge. Nevertheless I will preform to my best.

I edited the map with a few new features, so it will be different to him as well. I'll have the maps up soon so you can see it prior to play.

Musso, working on a few items I think all competitors will appreciate. Another day and we will be 5X5.

Pairings I think are posted in the first post.

Otto hasn't posted the map yet so I think that is what we're waiting on.

Musso stomped me, I'd say he can go on to the next bracket, and I'll step out. Can't say I really enjoyed my time. Hope the winner takes all.

We got through 20 turns (me as Russians) whose tanks annihilated the Germans. Knocked all of them out at the cost of 2 destroyed of my own.
