Combat Stress.

    Merlin:
    I'm certain you were/are great comfort to your friends, as they consider you a peer, and feel comfortable talking to you.
    I wonder too, do you think as all these old warriors are nearing the end, they feel a need to share their experiences, or to finally begin to deal with them?
    Our state is sponsoring a program encouraging veterans of combat--any era--to share their experiences as an oral history-style of preservation. (All taped interviews I believe.) Perhaps some theraputic value that serves to give these veterans an outlet to vocalize... and lighten a burden they've shouldered for too-many years?
    Thoughts?
