I have seen a lot of strange posts in my live, but this one is the summit,it would have considered as ...... even at the History Channell.
Thus, von Noobie:no attenuating circumstances ,unless you were drinking to much Münich beer, mixed with pastis and cognac and absinth .

I wouldn't say that von_noobie was so far from reality.

Formally France wasn't a member of the Axis but in reality they collaborated with Nazis broadly. A cynic could say that Vichy France was informal Nazi ally; much better than Mussolini's Italy, for example. Vichy France allegedly hoped to have genuine Partnership with the Third Reich but Germans had no intention to treat France as an equal. Herman Göring advocated economic exploitation of France.

Remember this thread is about a wargame, it's not a "what if" one. If I keep reading off topic answers , especially silly ones I will have to close this.

Thanks to Ljad for echoing my thoughts before I had the chance to do so.

Apologies for the post, had little to much morphine at the time. In any case I don't see France being able to survive, adjusting military strategy takes time which they didn't have. With the speed of the german advance it left little room for changes and adjustments. The allies where not prepared for a war of such speed, even after Poland fell they failed to learn from the German military doctrine used. Thoughi may be wrong, was there any one in the allid command, higher low up that wanted to use massed tank formations?
