You know the difference between a Fairy Tale and a War Story?

A Fairy Tale begins, "once upon a time..."

A War Story begins, "now this is no shit..."

I've lost track of the number of "historians" who think the plural of anecdote is fact. Ambrose, Hastings, Beevor, Manchester, and now Fleming. Sad really.

Another thing to keep in mind when talking to Vet's ::: When they say, "We" it could be Themselves OR collectively US !
Back then, 'We' meant : the United States of America. Today not so much.
