Has anyone read this book on Jochen Peiper? I was just curious as to if it is any good.

This is a really excellent book but one tiny criticism concerns the title : the book really focuses on Kampfgruppe Peiper's role in the Ardennes. If you want detail of Peiper's entire career, then you will need Patrick Agte's monumental ( and expensive ) book ( which, oddly, devotes relatively little space to this action ).

Michael Reynolds book was expanded from his 'Operation Pied Piper' battlefield tours for NATO troops, a guidebook for which I bought on my Ardennes holiday recently. Excellent maps - addictive battlefield walking.....

    ;)
