Dunkirk - bad luck or mistake?

    Indeed, urgh!

    These battles outside Dunkirk have been forgotten when actually they form a number of battles keeping strong German formations out of Dunkirk. It´s just that not until lately have I found any evidence of these battles.

    These battles were very important and many men gave their lives in order to make the miracle of Dunkirk happen!

    I have a great series of magazine articles on Calais if you would like a copy.

    Im glad Dunkirk happened... My grandfather was on those beaches.

    I wouldn't call it bad luck, I would call it failure to act.

    I would call it a big mistake by the allies getting beaten back to the coast and a big mistake for the Germans not wiping the army out.
