I was looking for some books on the eastern front, including the battle of berlin.I know there are a lot of books out there on this subject and have been looking for reviews on the internet.I figured this would be a great place to get advice on which books are the best. Also WWII history is a new interest of mine,if someone could point out books that would be good for beginners (all of world war II) that would be great. Thanks Tim

I recommend both "Stalingrad" and "The battle of Berlin 1945" by Anthony Beevor.

Also, "Stalingrad, the infernal surrounding" by Stephen Walsh is very nice and covers all the war since 1941 until 1943.

'War on the Eastern Front' by James Lucas

Excellent book and a great introduction to the eastern front. It has some very interesting accounts and explanations of events, well worth a read.
