Yesterday was in a large bookstore with 30.000 titles of military history. The shop is located in Erpe (Belgium) and is called "De Krijger".

I bough a great book there: Europas Freiwillige der Waffen-SS. This book contains bios of all recipients of the KC, DKiG, CCC in Gold or Roll of honor clasp that were nog German citizens.

So if anyone wants to know something of thse Waffen-SS men ask Volkbert. :D :D

    Carl :

    www.angelraybooks.com

check with Jason as he has this book listed at 15-20 % off retail price. First go to his front page and note the italics in red noting the Pre-Christmas sale orders. Hit this and then go crazy with the many titles he has up, you'll see Patrick's book listed here. :D

Thanks Erich and I have a few more that might be of interest to you and none are on the list in the protected section. Ill PM or email them to you and to Paul--just in case he doesnt have them as they are not members of the Treffen.

Volkbert--if you can find out if they take credit cards and let me know how to order from them--ill do so that way. Do you know if they have an email address?

Sure please send other adresse addy's privately by mail. As Volkbert mentioned I think you would be very pleased with that SS DK, etc book. It appears to have quite a bit of info. wish someone would get off their butts and do a nice one of this caliber on the Luftwaffe receipients.....

OK, ill send them to you PM after I finish this posting.

The only other source I know of that is supposed to be a complete list of all DKiG Recipients is the book published by Patzwell. Tessin MIGHT also have something to do with them as well but he is mainly one who makes complete listings of German units of varying sizes--Orbats if you will.....

do you have the Patzwell book ? I have checked into the buch bei Veit Scherzer and it is not complete on the Dk im Gelbe winners. Veit had an incredible problem it seems with the folks at WASt, as they di not seem to aid him in any assistance with the deceased. Anyway his book runs short on the members of the Luftwaffe who were decorated in the year 1945. many blanks that I would like to fill on the bio's that I have.....

I havent bought a copie ef it yet but--according to Francois--the silent Frainchmen--he thought it was pretty complete being that he is so into collecting DKiGs from the Lw only--BUT--not doubting your word any iota--I think Francois is mistaken--even though he only collects Lw DKiG stuff. I place him 2nd to you as to people I know who are that much learned in Lw stuff. ;)
