Just a note to you people who seem bound and determined to cause the mods to close down interesting threads before I get a chance to comment on them....Start new threads, something that might be titled "P & M" (pi$$ & moan) and PI (politically incorrect) and go to town on them. Maybe a new function button can be created, such as "abort" or "derail." Once the topic has gone off subject, a Rogue can hit the above mentioned function button and voila, a new thread is automatically created, and the diatribe can continue without missing a single disparaging name calling session or political correct/incorrect rant can continue in it's entirety....

Sometimes I find the political banter to be interesting and sometimes amusing, but what gets me is that it quickly gets out of hand, which is a bad thing. Instead of the cooler, which our distinguished and esteemed colleague (formerjughead+) has spent much time being assigned to "detached duty" there (in the past), maybe we should have the "kumbaya zone", where those espousing un-civilized and un-educated/informed assumptions that is not worthy of the WW2F, let alone being scribbled on the bathroom wall, or who just have to use "potty mouth" words and politically charged rants that, don't get me wrong - start out with a degree of legitamancy - that quickly deteriorate into what gets a lot of panties twisted up and threads closed....For those in "the kumbaya zone," when they log onto the WW2F, the kumbaya tune is automatically piped in, and if the violater-Rogue tries to disengage or otherwise disable said tune, they are automatically sentenced to an unspecified time of incarceration in the cooler or additional time in the kumbaya zone, whichever is worse, in which demotion in rank and standing is part of the penalty.

    Questions, comments, ideas, angles?

I support the underlying sentiment expressed.

A-58 - Well, if it were possible....

I would just prefer that civil discourse be observed by all, at all times. I enjoy good, spirited discussion in the absence of rancor, and sometimes it is just better to say that you disagree and move on. I seriously doubt that any of us are going to dissuade anyone else from their closely held beliefs, where politics are concerned, but I understand that it is fun trying.

There is nothing in the forum guidelines that prohibit the use of demeaning, belittling remarks made about a political leader. To me, however, they are better left unsaid, as they tend to add little to the discussion, except maybe to produce a transient chuckle in some and raise the blood pressure of others.

    1.A...Get up earlier...

    a. Launch Mod?

    b. Or even better just put all vets in togehter and call it the glasshouse...We'd be more at home and happy to amongst our fellows.

c, I find it difficult at times to relate A58 to a shotgun totting, pearly handled six gun, gas mask holding, m60 wielding stun gun in glove box, spare weapon down boot and tear gas and pepper spray on belt, ex paratrooper trained demolition machine....to relate such a nice man to Kumbyar...but I'm constantly impressed and educated on here.

    d. I get Ride of The Valkeries...dont you get a tune then? You have to ask the Mods and they attach one for you...Jughead gets Anchors Away...Stefan Nellie the Elephant and Skipper La Marseille...didnt you get the memo?

    e. War, what is it good for....Just my question...I never get an answer...but I do have another question...How do I get the gear chain back on my bike without getting oil on my fingers?

This would be alright but, it takes Two-to Tango. If one of the two doesn't follow all rules of enggement-then the idea is doomed to failure.

I agree with Slipdigit. Although I do enjoy some of the comments and names assigned to world leaders and even against the opposing views but what I do not enjoy is direct attacks against fellow members. Although perhaps I am guilty myself but by standing aside we are all guilty. What I suggest is that we make a majority of the threads on this forum WWII related with a little Free Fire for spice. Right now, it is all spice and we are all getting burnt.

A dream........well nuff said. Y'all know where I will be coming from and I have made copies of Slip's cooler keys.

Agreed, diologue and even heated debate isn't necessarily a bad thing. Sadly some people tend towards personal attacks, insults and vitriol which degrades all of us.

My dear urqh, I feel that I must answer your post directly. First off, I think it is a compliment of some sorts, at least that's the way I take it, so thanks pal....

    Now for the response;

    1A. no

    a. yes, I think

    b. That sounds good too, but I think the term "green house" is more "PC" these days....

    c. And I don't carry pepper spray. I tried it on the BBQ pit once, and it caused a big flame up and made the burgers taste funny.

    d. No, it's kumbaya. There's a penalty/pain factor here that must be endured. What memo anyway?

    e. Use gloves or pay someone else to do it.

    There, that oughta do it....

Oh, and you might want to get ready to deal with formerjughead, something about his assigned tune being the Anchors Away, which is the Navy's theme song. Yes we know that the Marine Corps is part of the Navy (and all Marines bellow at once now - "THE BEST PART"). But I'm sure he'd rather be listening to The Marine Corps Hymn, while shining his boots, and getting a haircut at the same time....
