Ok....what was the proposed plan for the Japanese-Operation 'Cherry Blossoms At Night'???
(It was supposed to take place some time in September 1945, but the Japs surrendered before then)

Hmmm I think I wrote about this a while back...

I remebered it was balloons but:

"Code named Cherry Blossoms at Night, the plan was to use kamikaze pilots ( plague-infected fleas ) to infest California with the plague 1945."

Kai-your'e close enough, plague-laced planes fly into the American coast, and spread viruses.
    Planned for late September 1945...
    Your question...

OK, here is an EASY question on a member of the Waffen SS.

What is the date that Gustav Mertsch got promoted to SS Standartenfuhrer?

The answer can be found in my bio-sketch of him I did in the topics about Sr Waffen SS Commanders.

I SAID this one would be easy. [IMG]

Because of food shortages, some companies of Japanese soldiers had to eat the flesh of dead Australian soldiers, mostly in the New Guinea campaign.

What parts of the Australians tasted the best ?

Reminds me ot the old movie Solent Green with E.G. Marshall.

Nothing pending, you win with the best guess. Glad you got to read up on the Japanese, it kind of lowers my opinion of them quite a bit. I am sure there are other things to eat in the jungle besides humans. I guess humans were the animal easyist to catch and kill.
