    Bingo Sloniksp. "The Herd" jumped around Katum in War Zone C on 22 FEB 1967 as part of Op. Junction City. This was the only large scale jump of the war and the first one since Korea.

    In 1946, the British rent (and later sold it) a 1942 built Carrier to the French who renamed it Arromanches. What was the initial name of this ex-British ship?

    first hint : I mentionned this vessel in the "carrier" thread. Its tells who built it. This carrier toured the Africa colonies in 1946-1947 and also served in Indochina after WWII

    By who I mean the man who fired the first shot in the defense of Fort Sumter, which means he must have been on the Union side.

    Well in that case,

    It was Capt. Abner Doubleday, the fort's second in command, and at about 7 AM he was given this honor 2 hours after the initial attack on the fort began.
