    Skipper,

My home is 40 km from the cemetary (which is also rather close to Overloon and its museum on the Battle at Overloon). I cannot promise anything but if you give me the list, I can try to go there for you when I have to go to that area. Again, I will put the list in my car, but I cannot promise WHEN exactly I go there.

Since my childhood, I did visit the cemetary very often (also went to Margraten several times - this is from my home 50 km in the other direction).

Ysselsteyn is massive, and I need you to point me to certain rows/graves if possible.

Printed it for taking in my car. I will leave a message here if I made the photographs. Hope 272VGD will also do. In that way we do not have to make the travel if the other already did. But it might be that we meet at the graves by pure coincidence ... ;-)

Hi Nick, its nice to see that they all get an indiviual grave marker rather than two or even three men to one marker stone which is more comen

Yes I was a Champigny st André in Normandy and notied they had one stone for 4 graves. This also happens for Cwgc graves, in my hometown there are four stones for eight graves.

    Mate......

    From one younger veteran.....

I am an Aussie thru and thru, and served my country for 17 years as a Soldier, serving in East Timlor and Iraq, but my Great uncles died fighting with the whermacht in Russia and those pics make me want to find them so much more.... as far as i am concerned, they paid the ultimate sacrifice fighting for what they believed in and should be honoured... your pics made me realise that the Germans still look after their fallen..... And on ANZAC day this year I will wear their Iron Cross, Eastern Front medal, Infantry assualt medal in silver and wound badge in gold on my right side with my own medals on my left.......

While I was driving up from germany to Netherlands and being already in the region I made a stop at Ysselsteyn after I was in Lommel.

The two cemeteries are HUGE, but the feeling is different from one to another.

I can't use the html I give you the link to my flickr set.
