No problem Slip, there are over 450 smilies alone and that little guy wasn't with his animal friends, so you are forgiven, this time.

I have a feeling that the people in this forum don't like me. Maybe I will fade into oblivion sooner or later.

Wow, there I was thinking this thread had to do with the Movie!!! Boy was I wrong. Don't like musicals so didn't bother to check this thread out, until i saw that it was well on its way to a 3rd page of discussions!

Yes - dPP struck twice in one day. The one will be back after Thanksgiving (21 Day Ban for Hate Content) but the other is gone for good. Luckily dPP managed to keep damage to the minimal and sent the bad thread to the Loo before anyone got a chance to read it.

I could not help but notice that the newest member in here "Slavik" has been dis honorably discharged before even making an appearance.

I am assuming that, that was a previous member trying to camouflage his way back in? :D

Yes, we believe he was a 'Watch List' member. He violated the rules through PM to several members who reported him and was thus banned. derPanzerPenguin strikes again! :pPmp40fire::troll1:

You can't expect everybody to appreciate some of stuff you've been posting here.

Including your present signature, for example.

You may have missed a new ghost poster this morning. This new guy called Haiman123 started playing the postwhore at an incredibly fast rate. He would just react on any post within seconds. Soon all the latest posts on the front page were his. I would have finished posting one answer while he posted like twenty or more, mostly old threats and just making comments. But then our favourite Panzer Pinguin got activated and terminated the troll. His post were blitz deleted and his souvenir shall not be remembered.

You have your ups and downs, you were on a perfectly reasonable track and then decided to go crazy on that idiotic what if.

If you took the time to take a deep breath and THINK before you post you'd avoid a lot of aggravation on yourself and quite frankly I felt very disappointed because I was looking at you with new eyes.

If you do decide to go, believe me it's a loss for the forum because you have had some very good moments in the last few months, and it will be a loss to yourself because you'll lose a lot of great friends here.

You have been good at times. Stay good!

    Za

Just viewed the 'whos online', and are Yahoo slurp Spiders search bots or something more sinister?

They're okay Joe. They roam around sites indexing them for the particular search engine the represent. When you do a search, you are not actually looking at the sites themselves when Google or Yahoo returns a list, you are looking at their database of what the Yahoo "slurpers" or Google "spiders" have found. Only when you click on the link do you go to the actual page.

This has spawned hacker groups that use Google or other search engines to map out a site by trial and error to find vulnerable information. Since the search engines don't see this as a bad thing (they are, after all, in the business to help you find things) they don't stop it and the targeted site doesn't realize that they are being penetrated because it is being done vicariously. When the hacker finds what he is looking for in Google, he then copies the appropriate full URL to his browser and goes directly to the target data, copies or removes it if possible, and is out before the targetted site admin even knows someone was there.

This is why site admins HAVE to have the webpages armored and why you hear of data being stolen. It's not Google's fault, it is the webmaster's and site admin's responsibility to secure the information, just as it your responsibility to lockup your house.

It always puzzles me when there is something nice in the world there are always people who want and enjoy destroying it.

You would think people would enjoy the internet instead of putting all their energy into messing it up with spyware and virises ect.
