As a fellow modeller I wouldn't suggest you hold your breath.EVERYBODY in my family knows I love the plastic thingies that you have to build, but rarely do I get any.Do you happen to have inside information?
Alrighty everybody, the decision has ben made! Staying with the previous theme of tank destroyers, we will do any allied tank destroyers from 1940 to 1945. If it is not a problem, I also want to mandate that the kits be "box stock". That is no aftermarket parts, no hand made parts, and no scratch building. If it doesn't come in the kit, you don't get to use it.
OK,I just got something off Ebay that qualifies for Group Build II.I'll keep this one a secret until it's finished. When Boba Nette comes over for the Bears game today,we'll find something for her to build.
There are several M-10 and Achilles kits around. Tell Boba that a M-10 in winter white will be acceptable.
Thanks JC.She has been itching to do a winter camo scheme.Since she's new to modelling,I was gonna steer her away from open topped TD's.That might make the build a little less fun for her with all the extra and probably tedious parts.Ultimately it will be her choice and I'll give give advice and assistance if needed. What do you think? She kinda liked an SU-100 I built in 1/72.I was gonna show her more of the Russian TD kits.
Just a quick query, when you say "Allied" I'm assuming that this means the Western Allies (UK/Empire/Commonwealth and US mainly), or does this also include the Soviet Union who were, whilst persuing a separate political agenda, still one of the Allies?
Will spare parts be excluded as well?Extra track, wheels, stowage etc?We should get all this hammered out before the official start date.
Group Build one was any scale,no scratch-built or after-market parts.Spare parts from other kits could be used.
