Ya know, its a shame that they dont put this kind of hard work into doing movie posters anymore for the most part. I'd love to have the original painting done for some of these. ;-))

I remember when as a kid, you'd see the guy come round and post them in wire frames..if I only knew what was collectable then? I'd have removed them, it was that easy..lol.

I was unlucky in that both theaters in town had theirs locked and behind glass-on the inside of the theaters. I remember that the Mgr of the Cine 1&2 theaters used to give them away to anyone who asked. That was great but, i never got any because too many people beat me to the punch.

Hi RAy, aint that the truth. I usedf to have about 40 posters but they all were stolen from me back about 1993. I had a few rare promo posters, and a few doublesided Disney posters which were of the large double ply type which are worth major bucke these days. The two I had came from a video shop that went out of business when I was in College in Harlingen-circa 1993-1994.

I also happen to hopefully still have my Beatles Anthology poster that was made for the ABC stations around the country. Mine was one of two not turned in and destroyed. About 6 months after the anthology-the other Beatles poster went up for auction fetching $5,000. One can only wonder what they would fetch these days?

Glad to see a ressurection of this thread. And as for The Adventures of Robin Hood--and Robin Hood himself, there IS no other who can rival Flynn as Sir Robin of Loxley as well as there will NEVER be an equal to Olivia de Havilland as Maid Marion Fitzwalter ;-))
