Well I have been looking for a type of book that is basically about the American soldier and liberated citizen relationship. Maybe even a biographoy of a French person during liberation. I would overall just like to know what the civilians saw and how they saw it, stuff like that. If anyone can help, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks Cody
A Bell for Adano (Italy) comes to mind. Catch-22, if you're in a strange mood. The Green Books have a volume on military government in Europe.
Hmmm well that's sort of what im looking for. im moe of looking for like maybe a memoir of a civiian that was liberated by the americans. Or maybe even a memoir of a resistance fighter that fought with the Americans, something of that sort. Also, does anyone kow of any books on Graves registration crews in WW2?
