    True, but at you mention yourself, the area was partially protected by the roadwheels, and otherwise very inaccesible (especially with the tall profile of the M4).

    depends on the ammunition. m 72 ap penetrated by us figures 92mm at 500 yards. and by british test ther side hull on the tiger resists about 84mm effectivly. but then m72 only penetrates about 70mm of fha at 500 yards. making it fairly ineffective against mark iv/3 type tanks.
