    What are you not getting?

Waffen SS kill American POWs at Malmedy...They are arrested tried & imprisoned/executed.

Americans kill Waffen SS POWs at Dachau. The matter is hushed up & no on trial

    Hence US double standard/US injustice.

    Where is your disconnect?

..but the POWs at Malmedy did not torture/murder/starve/etc innocent Jews
..sow the wind, reap the Whirlwind
and, Peiper got off with only a few years served ---but then the Whirlwind got him
...it's like these jacka$$ thugs that murder/steal/attack old ladies/etc---when they get shot and killed after their crime--that's justice

How is it an insult? Your post gives no hint that you even visited th USHMM website to review the article, or else you would have directly linked to it like I did...You took somone's elses word as gospel without doing any fact checking of your own...Henceb it is a knee-jerk reaction...what I said was not an insult, but an observation based on empirical evidence.

Heck! You didn't even link to the MH article.
Wrong. It is your source, your claim based on your source. This is one's on you. You provided nothing to back up your claim other than a long-winded tirade/rant based on your "feelings"

    ????

Their claim is true, the US could have done more.

To my knowledge WC well knew as The British politicians. They had the air photos and stories from the people who escaped from the camps. It was decided not to bomb the camps.

Died you do a swan dive into an empty pool?

You brought up Lt. Sparks...I never mentioned him.

You've said he was pro-nazi, I didn't. That is your presumption, not mine.

I speculated on an un-named forum you said you participated in...Next time name the forum.

I've told you that Neo-Nazi/pro-Nazi position & their reasoning. Never claimed it was mine or one that I espouse.

...you don't even think....you nitpick and are not trying to be civil
    1. it clearly, undeniably states '''magazine''' ..not Military History Magazine....magazine is not in italics!! magazine is not capitalized ....this is undeniably clear and obvious to those---those not intent on being uncivil/argumentative/etc and nitpicking
    2. if it was a website, I would've linked it
= game over ..you have unwittingly proved that you are just nitpicking/etc

In July 1938, delegates from some 32 nations met in Evian, France, to discuss how to respond to the refugee crisis. Each representative expressed regret about the current troubles of refugees, especially the Jewish refugees but most said that they were unable to increase their country’s immigration quotas, citing the worldwide economic depression. The representatives spoke in general terms, not about people but about “numbers” and “quotas.”

Still, the number of refugees far exceed the opportunities, both legal and illegal, to emigrate. After the Evian conference, Hitler is reportedly to of said, “Nobody wants these criminals.” Seems like European refugees weren't being accepted or welcomed anywhere at the time.

Like most other countries, the United States also did not welcome Jewish refugees from Europe. In 1939, 83% of Americans were opposed to the admission of refugees. In the midst of the Great Depression, many feared the burden that immigrants could place on the nation’s economy; refugees, who in most cases were prevented from bringing any money or assets with them, were an even greater cause for concern. Factor in a strong isolationist movement and the fear of communist infiltrators and nazi spies and the overall plight of European Jews wasn't pretty and was about to get worse.

"the United States also did not welcome Jewish refugees from Europe"

That's not true, they were no "Jewish" limits, immigration was limited by country. And the Jews formed the largest group among the imigrants.
Let's not forget the Jews and Europeans were allowed, but the Africans and Asians were not - not even a single wrong "colored" person.

At that time the US suffered up to 30 percent unemployment, many people suffered from real hunger.
The immigration should have been stopped completely.
