    It's pirogue. I have no idea what a piroughe is.

    Pirogue is correct. The word has Mayan origins (piragua) and was taken by the Spaniards until it was translated into pirogue by the French and adopted by the English speaking settlers in Louisiana.

    Don't now about the poll but I go by experience and I was surprised at New Yorkers being polite and helpful. Now Boston has been the rudist city by far.
