Nearly forgot to post this one. As general MacArthur was leaving Japan, people were out in the streets waving goodbye and such. It was also widely assumed he would run for president once back home, hence the following (slightly misspelled) message was seen draped on one building along his route: "We thank the General and wish him good luck on his coming erection"
Hi Ryan--ive asked him twice but recieved no reply. So I guess i'll have to make a guess that the reason why he is flying the flag upside down (in real life it means ship in distress--kind of thing) is because apparently he is in distress over Bush's policies toward war with iraq.
