Interesting things in HOI 3

Ok, I thought 1.3 was supposed to be harder?

I now hold the entire Western front including the UK, and my front with RUssia runs from North Finland, all the way through LAtivia, Estonia, Poland and through Romania, to the sea and as far south as Greece and even Albania. Oh and yes I invaded and control all these countries.

Italy Controls almost all of South Africa with Portugal and a few German forces in around Egypt.

Japan's borders run all the way down to Australia, North to Russia, and as far west as Egypt. Yes, Egypt, straight through India, Persia, and Iraq, and our forces met around the area near modern day Palestine and Israel.

England's government surrendered to the Axis but the army continued to fight on in Sth Africa, but are nearly destroyed.

I have seen in 1.3 Japan is far more aggressive then ever before, at this rate we will soon be able to attack the USA mainland.

 

We haven't had that happen, though in our Allies MP game, we're in the middle of finishing of Japan. We've taken virtually all its Asian possessions and I control Nagasaki and its greater island, starting to move north as I land more troops there. I'll be able to finish of the Japanese once I transport in my troops from China.

Japan did go to war against the USSR early though - made some pretty good strides into the country but has virtually been pushed back by the French/American invasion of China.

I think Russia will be a pushover for us too, as we have probably a few million men lined up on their front waiting for the war with Japan to end.

Our Axis game - well, Russia looks daunting (at least in Asia) - stacks of troops all along the border with Japan (who controls all of China and India etc.)

 

I've found that Russian stacks aren't always as dangerous as they look though.

 

I Keep seeing one thing that bothers me just a bit. Who a country surrendurs to is simply odd. We have in several MP games such surrenders occur to the country who has taken less territory.

 

Italy surrendering to me was normal, but Germany? I'd taken maybe a dozen unimportant southern territories from Germany (which were mostly if not all formerly part of Austria or the Czechs) while Mike and Joe took the rest of Germany (all the major cities) yet Germany surrenders to me. Sorta like in our Axis game how everyone was surrendering to Japan...despite being on the opposite side of the world!

 

The nations surrender to who ever is the most powerful person in the alliance I believe.
