Well, I don't really consider myself a deserter, per se! More like, a full-time AHF poster, and a reservist over here! ;)

When I finally get my project completed, you'll hear about it. I'll be joyously trumpeting the news from the highest hills! Thanks for the encouragement.

Oh, this sounds like fun. My user name Liang is also my real name. A Bostonian who currently lives in Florida. And yes, I am about to be hit by Hurricane Jeanne in a few hours, if power goes out, this could be my last posting session in a few days.
I have always loved history, in particular the two world wars. I truely believe that history and the world is defined by wars. The cliche that "war brings out the best and the worst in human beings" is so true and it fascinates me. Through the history of warfare, I have also improved my geography knowledge as well as came to appreciate different cultures and nations.
And of course, I am a huge Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics and Patriots fan. So occasionally you will see my outbursts when the Sox lose to the yankees, again, or if the Patsies win another Superbowl.

I just found out that I haven't introduced myself. So here it is...
I live in Finland like many already know. I study physics (been doing that too many years, I should have graduated already). I teach physics as part-time teaching assistant here in my university. Only basic level, thought. Before I started my studies I did my conscript time in our defence forces. I managed to get the rank of sergeant before my time was full.

My interests in military consist mainly world war two history. Especially naval warfare but also air warfare. I dont know much about tanks etc, therefore I'm here to learn about them.

My other hobbies are computers, movies and books. Unfortunatelly last few years I haven't been able to read many books.

Liang, where specifically in Boston? I grew up in Franklin, about 30 miles SSE of there.

Where in North Carolina did you work, Tom? And where in Michigan do you currently work? As you can see from my info, I live in High Point, while my wife is from Michigan (born in Pontiac, lived most of her life in Walled Lake).

Just remember not to push the red button. Ok. :D

I did and look what happened to Roel's post totals. He's not studying as hard as he should, I think he's addicted to filling his brain with information. :smok:

You should be able to select an option at the poll options list and then click "submit vote". If you are able to see the results of the poll without voting, then apparently it is closed.
