Greetings and salutations Bart. Would you mind telling me where you live a bit more precisely? It might be near a friend of mine.
I live in the east part of Belgium, at the bottom of the province of 'Limburg' (or Limbourg in English). What city does this friend live near?
No no no, Limburg is in the Netherlands, yours is called "Belgisch Limburg". Just kidding, I know you do it the other way around! Welcome to the forum.
Not very near you I'm afraid (too bad, oh well). She is from Brussels or Brussel or Bruxelles or broucsomething....anyway the capital. Also though stereotypes are often cruel, unjust and only occasionaly funny in jokes, it seems that around the capital, those living in Limburg are not held in high regard to say the least.
Well, I'll summarise it for you :-D Limburg-people often are ridiculed that they talk slowly and various tone-heights. The people from "West-Vlaanderen" are ridiculed by the fact no-one exept people from West-Vlaanderen can understand them. The people from "Antwerpen" stretch most cylabels. etc etc  But I always get complaints that I speak too fast, so I guess I'm special
Im Jeremy. I come from Houston, Texas and have been a world war II history nut for a while now. I work as a security guard for a chemical plant which gives me a lot of time to bum around on the internet.
Hail and welcome. Are you just a guard or do you happen to know a thing or two about the facilty? Me like xplosions
"Oosterbeek" in the Netherlands should sound familiar to any WW2 buff. There is however a town in Belgium called Oostrozebeke and it's different.
Hi, folks. I'm new here. From Georgia, USA. I live about 30 miles from Ft. Benning. Glad to be part of the tank forum!
Umm, right... Invite her over, that might be interesting. Seriously though, is there any point to the above that I am missing?
