Y'all static lined from 14K? Lucky y'all hit the same state y'all took off from! Kind of cold up that high too.

Glad you made it fine and had a good jump. Any jump that you can walk away from is a good one.

The highest I ever jumped was 2500 ft, and the lowest was about 900 ft. That seems kind of low, but it's not really. Plenty of time to burn in actually.

I've never had the hankering to ever make another jump. Not that I'm afraid to do it, it's that I just want to leave that part of my life where it belongs, in the past. The last jump I made was at Ft. Bragg, the day before I got out of the Army. I was young then, in great shape (well, round's a shape) and a lean mean fighting machine (as far as I thought). So were all my buddies. I just want to leave it there, and keep the memories where they belong. It's different for everyone I guess.

I haven't jumped for about 3 or 4 years. Guess it's past time I got with the program so I am planning on a birthday jump for next Mar. Will have to go down and go thru ground school again I'm sure so I might just as well brow beat a few friends in going along. Some of them have been grounded longer than i have so this should be interesting.

Think we're going back probably late April. It's always better when you go with friends, get to share the experience.

This is the picture I was talking about. A bit shaggy and nasty.

I'm thinking this was taken on the USS Manitowok, LST-1180, but it's been a lot of years ago.
