    Ken I know your uncle well,
    I am the secretary of the 625 Squadron Association. I will PM separately with anything personal, but in the meantime anyone who comes across this and has an interest in 625 is welcome contact me by PM her and I will provide my email address

    Well that is great news. I will send you my email right off. Uncle Gus is quite a guy, I remember when I was just a little kid and he took me and my sister into a toy store and told us to pick one thing we wanted, anything. That was pretty mind blowing being able to walk around a toy store when you were 8 years old or so and being able to pick anything in it. I don't remember what I picked but I know it wasn't anything too big as we were taught better than that.

    Thanks to Nic (625 Secretary) I remembered that I had a couple more things to share concerning my Uncle and his service in the Lancasters.

    I am fortunate in that he intrusted me with his wings and insignia from the RCAF and I will make sure that these stay in the family.

    Very interesting reading some of the pages in the log book! A very neat log book also!
